What items can be dipped?

We can dip essentially anything that can be submerged in water and will fit in our tank. Full vehicle parts fit, as do rims, rifles, snowboards, and everything else you can think of. Anything we can prime, paint, dip, and clear coat is a perfect candidate.

I want to dip my rims, but they are damaged, what do you do?

We are able to repair rim damage before painting and dipping your rims for a small extra fee. We wrote all about the rim customization options right here, you can have them repaired, or repainted, or dipped, or all of the above. Check it out.

I have something I want to dip that is not on your list, can you do it?

Probably and definitely yes! The prince list is just a starting point. We love custom and unique jobs, so send us an email and we will get back to you with a plan for how to execute it.

Do you use clear coat?

Yes we do. At Island Color we use clear coat whenever we do a dipping project. We can do matte or gloss, and we can tint the clear coat to make it glow any colour you like.

Do I need to remove the parts that I need dipped?

99% of the time, yes. Rims need the rubber off, time needs to be off your vehicle. Electronics need their casing removed, and motorcycles need to be taken apart. Sometimes we can mask things off, like we do on a bike helmet, but the majority of the time we need you to disassemble.
